Connecting Humanz to Xero

What the integration does

Connecting Xero lets Humanz automate invoicing, bills and payroll from the work already recorded in the platform. Approved timesheets flow through to Xero instead of being retyped, and the contacts and invoices the work generates stay in step between the two systems. The practical payoff is a pay run that starts from data nobody had to chase, which matters more than ever now super rides with every payday.

Before you connect

• You'll need a Humanz administrator login, and a Xero login with permission to authorise app connections for your organisation.
• Have the right Xero organisation in mind. If your Xero login can see several organisations, you'll choose which one to connect during authorisation.

How to connect

1. In Humanz, open Integrations and select Xero. The panel shows the current connection status.
2. Click Connect to Xero. You'll be redirected to Xero to sign in.
3. On the Xero authorisation screen, pick the organisation you want to connect, review what Humanz is asking to access, and click Allow access.
4. You'll land back in Humanz with the connection active. That's it.

What Humanz can access

The authorisation screen spells this out before you approve anything, and it's worth knowing in advance. Humanz asks to view and manage your organisation's timesheets, contacts and invoices and related documents, and to view (but not change) your organisation settings, payroll settings and employees. It also reads the connecting user's name, email and profile. Nothing broader: no bank transactions, no financial reports.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect at any time, from either side. In Xero, go to Settings → Connected apps and remove Humanz. In Humanz, the same Integrations panel where you connected shows the live status of the connection. Disconnecting stops the data flow immediately, and the records already in each system stay where they are.

Troubleshooting

• The organisation you expected isn't listed during authorisation. You're signed into a Xero account that doesn't have access to it. Cancel, sign into the right Xero account, and connect again.
• The connection shows as not connected after it was working. Authorisations can be revoked from the Xero side, including when the authorising user's access changes. Reconnect from the Integrations panel, or check Connected apps in Xero.
• Anything else. Contact us and a human in Australia will sort it with you.
